PRACTICAL
Video Shooting Project 2 Exercise 1
During class time, the class is assigned to reshoot several scenes from the
movie "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once". The class was separated into
groups where every person had their own role in shooting the video. In this
task, I am in charge in setting up the lighting.
After the shooting, I begin to import the clips and audio to Premiere Pro. I
started by color correcting the clips, making them more suitable to the
emotion of the scene.
Sound Syncing
After correcting the colors and adjusting the clip duration, I inserted the
sound recording and adjust them to match the timing of the video
clips.
Adding Hard Sound Effects
To add dramatic effect to make the sound align to the emotion of the scene, I
added hard sounds from the internet to some of the clips. For example, I added
punching sounds to the fighting scene.
Adding Captions
I decided to make this video into something like movie trailer. Therefore, to
add elements, I make caption of the title which is "Everything Everywhere All
at Once" and the dialog.
Tik Tok/ Insta:
For Project 2 Exercise 1 we were instructed to recreate a TikTok or Instagram
trend and make some improvements so it is more memorable. I decided to
recreate the Wes Anderson trend. Below is my proposal for the video.
After shooting the video just as I planned, I combined and edited my video in Capcut as per instructed by Mr. Martin. In Capcuted, I adjusted the video length, the coloring, the music, and the typography.

REFLECTIONS
Experience
Shooting clips is not only an educational experience but also a fun entertaining experience for me. I enjoy setting up the cameras and lighting behind the scenes. I also had fun working with other people to practice shooting exercise 1. Once, I get the hang of editing the clip, I am fond of doing it as well.
Observation
By editing the clips of exercises 1 and 2, I realized how crucial coloring is in a video. As it can be seen both exercises I did have a very distinct genre. In my opinion, the coloring contributes the most on establishing the emotions of the scene. The first exercise has a more intimidating atmosphere, hence, I edited the clips to have darker shadows while the second exercise has a more vibrant bright tone as the atmosphere of the video is more positive.
Findings
Shooting a movie requires a lot of equipment. In exercise 1, me and my teammates used equipment provided by Mr. Martin in the studio. It includes the lighting, tripods, and cameras. It is important to learn how to use these tools so that we can get proper shootings.
