REFLECTION
Experience
From doing all the tasks and exercises in the advanced typography module, I get the chance to apply the knowledge I have learned from the previous typography class. It made me realize that I have a lot to improve in terms of typography. Therefore, I plan to learn more about typography by myself through books and other designers that expertise in typography.
Observation
I noticed from all the exercises and tasks I have done that typography is not just about making a certain design look visually appealing. Instead, it focuses more on how to get the message across to viewers as fast as possible. When considering typography in a design, designers should prioritize readability.
Findings
To have a readable design, it is important to pay attention to the spacing and kerning of letters in a text. This applies to posters, logos, and fonts. The presence of whitespace is important because viewers need to have a visual relief when viewing a design.
