LECTURE
BCI Introduction
Brand corporate identity in graphic design focuses on the visual
integrity of a brand. BCI can be considered one of the most
influential areas of graphic design in society.
"A symbol is a mark, sign, or word that indicates, signifies, or is
understood as representing an idea, object, or
relationship."
Symbols develop into a word mark, and a word mark develops into a
bigger identity.
INSTRUCTIONS
RESEARCH
The first step on doing project 1 is research on the brand that
have been chosen with the group. My group chose H&M for our
research. There were several things that need to be

After the research was done, I proceeded to make the slide. Ms. Lilian suggested that we do not use a template for this project. Hence, I tried my best to lay it out myself.

Ms Lilian instructed the students to work in groups and choose a
brand to do research on. We were required to make our own slides
after the research.

Experience
From this project, I got to experience teamwork since we were grouped to do the research. Overall, I enjoyed this project because it was relatively easy for the first project in this module.
Observation
This project was a great way to start this module because we were pushed to refresh our minds about existing brands. This gives me a brief idea or inspiration for what I will do for the next upcoming projects.
Findings
From this project, I understand how important branding is in a business identity. A powerful brand influences the audience's decisions and loyalty by making an emotional connection with them and creating recognition and trust. It serves as the basis for a business's success and visibility in an extremely competitive sector.
